April 2nd, 2011 @ The Knights Templar Pub, Bristol, UK
A new city and venue for the Easter SOUK meeting saw a new member grace us with his presence: Hirsute After a quick drink at TKT pub, we went for a walk around Bristol, mainly to show Hirsute (who’s Canadian and was doing something at a Uni in London for some sort of degree) something other than London for a change. As Cullsoft had brought his Yogurt Plushie, we had great fun putting it on monuments and statues in Bristol (there’s like, loads of ‘em) and taking pictures of it. We unfortunately had to walk past some annoying “Street Preachers” who were pissing people off in the centre of Bristol shouting stuff at people passing by (we all laughed when we past a group of guys who heard one of the preachers yelling, and one of them remarked “Fucking hell, that bitch still shouting?”), and we eventually ended up in another pub about 2 miles away from the first one. All that walking, and I still had to drive back up to Manchester that day too!

Info: The second meetup in Liverpool was quite the event, with at least six who had RSVP’d ahead! Not only that, we were graced with a surprise visit from Kev who stopped in to join us for a bit. The highlights of this meetup was the fact that the GamesTM 100th issue had been released, which featured many of the characters from Shining Force 3 on its cover, due to the fact that this issue had a list of the 100 greatest games of all time within it, one of which was Shining Force 3.
Hilarity also ensued when we went to Pizza hut afterwards. See the media page as to why

Info: More of a pseudo-SOUK meeting than anything; this was Alpha’s leaving-the-UK-party, and as they lived closeby, Century and Swalchy attended. Good times =)

Info: Perhaps more a farewell meeting in some ways – this was to be Alpha’s last regular SOUK appearance. Due to short notice and lack of suitable dates, only four people made it to the send off. Despite this, is was a good day, with laughs, drinks and pizza. Thanks to those who made it!

Info: For this meeting, we were graced with three new faces! Thanks to the northern meet-up, Century, Rick and Stordarth were able to make an appearance. In addition to their numbers allowing us to set the new attendance record of six, Stor was able to show off some of the Shining Force II community project. We also got some picture snapped of the event (see the media page).

Info: A fairly impromptu Christmas meet up that we initially didn’t think would happen. Amusingly, however, it was the largest one to date (though that record has since been broken).

Info: What was supposed to be our first ‘official’ meet up (the March one being just a mini-meet) turned out to be the smallest. Just four people made it this time (Gately lost his wallet and Kaz lost his balls). Nevertheless, it was enjoyable, and we had a good evening.

Info: Our preliminary “mini-meet”. Cullsoft brought a mass of merchandise he had acquired from the Shining Onlys he had been to in Japan for people to peruse. It hopefully would provide inspiration for future items people might make (but probably not!).
